About Jaipur National University
Jaipur National University was established on 22nd October 2007 through an ordinance of the Government of Rajasthan. It sits in Jaipur — the Pink City — one of the more distinctive places in India to spend four years of your life.
The university has grown into a full multidisciplinary institution across four campuses, running programs in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Pharmacy, Law, Education, Management, Life and Basic Sciences, Clinical Nutrition, English, Sociology, Social Work, Allied Health Sciences, and Medical — at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
The motto is straightforward: Care, Compassion, and Trust. It shows up in how the university runs, not just on the wall.
Approvals and Recognition
All programs are approved by the relevant regulatory bodies:
- UGC — University Grants Commission
- NAAC — National Assessment and Accreditation Council
- NCTE — National Council for Teacher Education
- BCI — Bar Council of India
- INC — Indian Nursing Council
- PCI — Pharmacy Council of India
- MCI — Medical Council of India
Every professional and technical course carries the required regulatory approval. No exceptions.
Academic Infrastructure
The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled and built to support serious academic work:
- 1500+ computers across departments
- 158 laboratories spread across schools
- Auditoriums seating 500+ each — used regularly for industry lectures, seminars, and events
- Fully stocked libraries across all four campuses
- State-of-the-art IT labs
- On-campus hostels, cafeteria, and mess facilities
JNU Hospital and Medical College
JNU Hospital and Medical College is a constituent unit of the university. It is one of the few private medical colleges in Rajasthan that combines world-class infrastructure with a genuine community outreach commitment.
The college produces 250+ MBBS doctors every year through rigorous theoretical coursework and hands-on clinical training. Beyond academics, the hospital runs:
- Outstation OPDs
- Free health camps
- CMEs for the medical community
- Public health awareness programs
It serves the local community, not just the campus.
Scholarships
The university has distributed scholarships worth Rs. 83 lakhs to ensure financial barriers do not stand between capable students and quality education. Merit and need are both considered.
Research
Research at JNU is applied — aimed at real problems, not just publication counts. Work happens through national and international collaborations across disciplines. Students and faculty work alongside each other on projects that have a genuine bearing on communities outside the campus.
Campus Life
Life at JNU is active. Beyond classrooms:
- Regular sports events that build discipline and teamwork
- Annual university fests covering music, dance, drama, and the arts
- Clubs across a wide range of interests — from technical to creative
- Regular blood donation camps and medical outreach
- Corporate connections that bring industry into the classroom through workshops and guest lectures
The student body comes from diverse backgrounds. The campus reflects that in how it operates day to day.
Location
JNU is well-connected to the rest of India:
- 15-minute drive from Jaipur International Airport
- 30-minute drive from the Railway Station and bus stand
- 4 hours from Delhi via National Expressway NH-8
Jaipur itself is fast becoming one of India's serious higher education destinations — alongside Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The city brings its own texture to student life: history, craft, industry, and a pace that works.
What drives it
JNU runs on the belief that education should produce people who think clearly, judge critically, and act humanely. The teaching approach is built around NEP 2020 guidelines — student-centric, experiential, and aimed at developing individual learning rather than uniform output.
The faculty brings deep domain experience. The curriculum is designed to stay close to what the professional world actually demands. And the partnerships with universities abroad give students a perspective that goes beyond Rajasthan.
